TATTOO POST-CARE
Second skin (also known as tegaderm, saniderm, or tattooderm) is a sterile, breathable, waterproof, germ-proof barrier to protect your new tattoo. This barrier will protect your tattoo from any possible contamination and will also protect your clothes/sheets from excess ink, blood and fluid that are the normal by-products of healing a tattoo. You may shower normally while healing, but refrain from full submerging or swimming over the next two weeks.
Second skin can be placed on for 24 hrs. By 24 hrs post session, please remove the bandage slowly and carefully, pulling down in one direction.
Wash your hands and then wash your tattoo with lukewarm water and non-scented soap. Gently pat dry and use a sheer amount of ointment provided as needed over the next 2 weeks.
Do not peel, itch, or pick at your scabs while they are healing
Avoid excessive sweating, exposure to water, or sun during the healing time.
Drink plenty of water!
